Studio Ferri is an award-winning boutique interior design practice based in nipaluna/Hobart Tasmania, specialising in bespoke residential and hospitality design. With over 10 years experience in the industry and renowned for her hospitality venue designs, Director and Principal Interior Designer Claire Ferri, has a reputation for her intuitive sense of materiality, layering, texture and colour. Claire views each project as an opportunity to explore new concepts and uncover a unique design aesthetic.
The studio’s ethos is human-centric, with designs developed through close listening, interpreting and distilling of ideas. Cultivating interiors which are cohesive, refined, immersive and beautiful to be in. Experienced with a sense of fluidity, edge, warmth and ease, they are artfully crafted spaces which feel both exceptional and grounded. The creation of something more than expected.

Drawing on skill and knowledge but without constraint to a set modus operandi, each project is met with passion, respect and dedication. Concepts are tailored as a direct response to the client brief, needs and aspirations with emphasis on functionality to support its inhabitants or express their brand. Gathering inspiration from the site, local environment and landscape to craft interior designs which feel connected, genuine and relevant. The results being the creation of spaces which feel resoundingly of their place.

OUR PROCESS
Our process starts with a conversation…
Asking questions and talking with you about your needs, wish list and ideas in order to gain an understanding of the type of design services you may require assistance with, ensure a good fit and provide you with a fee proposal.
The Concept Phase allows for the development of initial ideas based on the specific design intent and what we uncover about your project from our briefing. We begin spatial planning and definition, explore design directions, materials and finishes sampling and style concepts. Followed by presentation of the initial overview of the design aesthetic customised for your project, including mood board, initial sketches and samples to touch and feel early in the process.
Once the desired design direction is formed, we continue through to Design Development to further craft, refine and edit. This includes finalising of layout, custom joinery or furniture designs, selection of products, finishes and materials along with furniture specification, furnishings and art. Translating the concept into a cohesive and comprehensive design.
Documentation: The creative work is done.
Finished with a high level of detail to assist in the fabrication and construction process, provision of floor plans and elevations, materials and finishes palette and specification schedule. We provide you with the documentation package and key to your design.
